One on One

I guess David Bowie has always been one of my idols. I have all his albums and I saw him live 5 times. I liked the way he played with music and fashion. He always made very intelligent music. He mixed styles and tried to do interesting things that hadn't been done before. One of the most important things was that he didn't sell out at the first chance he had to make money. He had integrity, which is very important for any true artist.
If I ever had a one on one with
Which famous/infamous person (dead or alive) would you like to meet?
Write 150 words. Say:
Who you would like to meet and why
What you would talk about
What you would do
Then leave comments on at least 2 of your classmates posts.

Favourite English Song

What is your favourite English song at the moment? Personally, I can't stop listening to "Going on" by North American wonder-duo Gnarls Barkley. It's got a soul-ish, motown feel and it's great to dance to.
The backing vocals are really great and every time I listen to this song it makes me feel up.
Musically it's not a complicated song. There are no guitar heroics or sax breaks or anything like that, although there is a sort of psychedelic break towards the end that's really groovy.
The only thing I had heard by Gnarls Barkley before this song was "Crazy", which was a huge hit in
The rest of the album is really good too. The band have some great videos plus they dress up in weird clothes when they play live.
Check them out!
Now it's your turn.Tell us about your favourite English song of the momment.
Say:
Who it's by,
When you heard it the first time,
What kind of music it is,Why you like it.
AT LEAST 150 words. Add the lyrics and a photo.
Going On - Gnarls Barkley
I’ve seen it with my own eyes
How we’re gettin’ otherwise
Without the luxury of leavin’
The touch and feeling of free is
Untangible technically
Something you’ve got to believe in
Connect the cause and effect
One foot in front of the next
This is the start of a journey.
And my mind is already gone
And though there are other unknowns
Somehow this doesn’t concern me.
And you can stand right there if you want
But I’m going on
And I’m prepared to go it alone
I’m going on
To a place in the sun that’s nice and warm
I’m going on
And I’m sure they’ll have a place for you too oohoohoo
Anyone that needs what they want, and doesn’t want what they need
I want nothing to do with
And to do what I want
And to do what I please
Is first of my to-do list
But every once in a while I think about her smile
One of the few things I do miss
But baby I‘ve to go
Baby I’ve got to know
Baby I’ve got to prove it
And I’ll see you when you get there
But I’m going on
And I’m prepared to go it alone
I’m going on
May my love lift you up to the place you belong
I’m going on
And I promise I’ll be waiting for you oohoohoo
